Balochistan’s Future Lies in Education, Not Violence, Says Home Minister Ziaullah Langau.
Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has urged young people to reject violence and embrace education, saying the province’s future is linked with Pakistan and that lasting progress can only be achieved through knowledge rather than weapons.
Speaking during a meeting with delegations of young people in Quetta, Langau said that the pen, not the gun, is the true instrument of national development. He stressed that terrorism and extremism only bring destruction, instability, and darkness, while education and awareness pave the way for peace and prosperity.
“The future of Balochistan is associated with Pakistan. Nations achieve progress through education, knowledge, and constructive thinking—not through violence,” the provincial minister said.
Langau warned that young people who choose armed violence and head to the mountains put not only their own lives at risk but also undermine the peace and stability of Balochistan. He said the path of terrorism leads only to suffering and deprives youth of opportunities to contribute positively to society.
The home minister also expressed concern over the reported involvement of women in terrorist related activities , describing it as a worrying trend that must be discouraged.
In a latest IBO in Mastung Balochistan, Security forces arrested two female suicide bombers along with a facilitator belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan.
Highlighting the potential of Balochistan’s youth, Langau said the province’s young generation possesses immense talent and can play a significant role in Pakistan’s development if they focus on education, research, innovation, and other productive activities.
He said the provincial government is taking steps to improve educational facilities and create opportunities for young people so they can build secure and successful futures.
Langau urged the youth to stay away from negative influences, adopt a positive mindset, and contribute to building a peaceful and prosperous society through education and constructive engagement.
