The area was thoroughly sanitized to ensure no further threats remained. “This operation demonstrates our commitment to eradicating terrorism in Pakistan,” the ISPR statement noted.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces’ professionalism and bravery, calling the terrorists “enemies of peace and prosperity” in Balochistan. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to eliminating terrorism and continuing the province’s development. “The entire nation stands with our security forces in defending our motherland,” he stated.
Security forces took down seven terrorists during an operation in Ziarat’s Choteer area, based on actionable intelligence. The armed militants initiated fire on security forces, leading to a two-hour exchange that involved the use of hand grenades.
Ziarat Deputy Commissioner Zakaullah Durrani confirmed the deaths, with the bodies shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital. The operation followed residents’ protests against militants in the area, which had caused a temporary roadblock on the Sanjavi-Ziarat road. The issue was resolved after successful negotiations.
These operations underline the resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to maintain peace and prosperity in Balochistan. With ongoing efforts and nationwide support, the fight against terrorism continues to strengthen.
