Security forces in Pakistan have killed three more terrorists in Balochistan’s Zhob district, bringing the total number of militants eliminated to 50 during a four-day anti-infiltration operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Sambaza area.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Tuesday that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the militants, who belonged to the Indian-backed Fitna al-Khwarij group, also known as the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The operation took place on the night of August 10-11.
“Security forces remain committed to secure the nation’s frontiers and thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Pakistan,”ISPR stated.
The recent killings follow earlier successful operations in the same area. On the night of August 7-8, security forces killed 33 terrorists attempting to cross from Afghanistan into Pakistan. Another 14 militants were killed on August 9, bringing the previous total to 47.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their successful operations against the militants on Tuesday. “The nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its brave armed forces against terrorism. The enemies of Pakistan’s peace, stability, and development will never succeed,” President Zardari said, emphasizing that the fight against terrorism will continue until it is completely eliminated.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also commended the professional capabilities of the security forces, stating: “We will continue this war against the scourge of terrorism until it is eradicated completely from the country. Pakistan’s armed forces are engaged day and night in the mission to cleanse the homeland of terrorists, and for this, the entire nation, including myself, pays tribute to them.”
