The dialogue will be jointly led by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. This visit is part of ongoing high-level talks between Pakistan and China to strengthen their close partnership.

The fifth round of this dialogue was held in May 2024 in Beijing. Last year, both foreign ministers met during the fifth round in China’s capital.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif officially visited China in June last year. In October, China’s Premier Li Qiang came to Pakistan for the 23rd Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting. Earlier this year, Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari also visited China.
This continued exchange shows the strong and growing relationship between Pakistan and China.
