Two More Terrorists Killed in Balochistan, 19 Eliminated in Security Operations Over Three Days.
Security forces have killed two more terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan, taking the number of terrorists eliminated in separate counterterrorism operations across the province to 19 over the past three days, security sources said on Sunday.
According to security officials, the latest operation was carried out between the areas of Kili Zaik and Kaghli after intelligence reports indicated the presence of terrorists in the area. Security forces launched a targeted operation, leading to a firefight in which two terrorists were killed while three others sustained injuries.
One of the killed terrorist was identified as Mushtaq Ahmed alias Koh Yar. Security sources said troops recovered a cache of weapons and explosives from the site, including ammunition, magazines, hand grenades, and materials used for manufacturing improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The operation follows a successful counterterrorism action conducted a day earlier in Kharan district under Operation Radd-ul-Fitan III. Acting on intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the Lajay area, security forces launched an operation that resulted in the killing of seven terrorists.
Earlier, on August 15, security forces carried out another major operation in Khuzdar district, where 10 suspected members of what authorities describe as Fitna al-Hindustan were killed.
Security officials said the recent operations reflect ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks operating in Balochistan and prevent attacks targeting civilians and law enforcement personnel.
According to security sources, operations against terrorist groups will continue across the province until militant threats are fully neutralized. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining security and stability in Balochistan through sustained intelligence-led actions.
The 38th UN Monitoring Team Report, covering the period from December 16, 2025, to June 9, 2026,has documented operational linkages between the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and internationally designated terrorist organizations, including Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and Al-Qaeda.
According to the report, the BLA is no longer viewed solely through the lens of a localized insurgency in Balochistan. Instead, the UN findings point to logistical cooperation, overlapping facilitation networks, and shared training environments involving some of the region’s most dangerous terrorist groups.
