Security forces killed two Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists during an intelligence-based operation near the N-25 crossing in Balochistan, security sources said on saturday, as counter terrorism operations continue across the province.
According to security sources, the operation targeted terrorists associated with Fitna al-Hindustan term used for the Banned BLA. The two terrorists were killed during the engagement.
Security forces recovered weapons, hand grenades, a motorcycle, mobile phones, banned outfit flags and other material from the terrorists’ possession, the sources said.
The latest action comes amid an intensified counter-terrorism campaign following the deadly attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station in Balochistan.
Pak Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and the provincial police are jointly conducting Operation Shahban against militants across the province.
According to security sources, nine terrorists were killed in the latest phase of Operation Shaban through coordinated air and ground operations.
The number of terrorists killed under Operation Shaban has now risen to 52, while the overall number of terrorists killed in various operations across Balochistan since July 5 has reached 88, according to security sources.
Officials said the operation is being carried out using intelligence-based targeting, aerial surveillance and coordinated ground offensives to dismantle militant hideouts, particularly in remote mountainous areas.
The latest developments follow several successful counter-terrorism operations over recent days. Security sources said 17 militants were killed during the previous 24 hours, while 26 terrorists were eliminated in separate operations conducted on July 6 and 7, dealing what officials described as a significant blow to militant networks operating in the province.
Separately, security forces also thwarted an attack on a police station in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district, preventing militants from carrying out their planned assault.
Security sources said Pakistan’s armed forces remain committed to eliminating terrorists, their facilitators and support networks, and will continue operations until militant threats are neutralised.
