In a major development for education in South Balochistan, Senator Jan Muhammad Buledi has successfully secured the Prime Minister’s approval for establishing a Danish School in Turbat, district Kech.
Responding to Senator Buledi’s proposal, the Prime Minister has directed the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) to fund the complete construction and setup of the school under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This initiative aims to uplift educational infrastructure in underserved regions of the country.
Following the approval, Senator Buledi met with OGDCL Executive Director Zia Salahuddin to discuss the project. Mr. Salahuddin assured full financial backing, confirming that OGDCL will bear all costs related to the school’s construction and operational setup. Once completed, the school will be officially handed over to the Project Director of Danish Schools to begin formal operations.
During the meeting, the Executive Director also requested Senator Buledi’s support in identifying and securing a suitable location for the school.
This landmark initiative represents a significant step toward ensuring equal access to quality education for the youth of South Balochistan. It reflects the government’s strong commitment to human development through meaningful action in marginalized areas.
