
The family of Hanif Noorzai, the assistant commissioner of Tump who was abducted while traveling with relatives on June 4 to celebrate Eid in Quetta, has called on tribal elders, political leaders, and influential figures to help secure his safe release. Though his family members were freed shortly after the incident, Hanif remains in captivity.

During a press conference in Turbat, his brother, Guldad Noorzai, urged the kidnappers to adhere to humanitarian principles, Balochi traditions, and tribal norms. The responsibility for the abduction was claimed by the banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF).
