According to police, armed assailants stormed the complex late Sunday night, opened fire, and vandalized court records before setting them on fire. During the attack, the presiding judge reportedly went missing.
Law enforcement agencies and police reached the site immediately and engaged the attackers in an exchange of fire. The terrorists managed to flee, and a search operation is now underway to trace the culprits and recover the missing judicial officer.
Rescue and firefighting teams arrived on the scene and worked for several hours to extinguish the flames. Authorities are assessing the full extent of the damage.
Officials said the incident appears to be a deliberate attempt to undermine the justice system and spread fear in the region. Security has been tightened around government buildings across Balochistan, while investigations continue.
