Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal and Sepoy Nazam Hussain embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan’s Mastung district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
The operation took place on Wednesday, targeting terrorists from the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Hindustan, who were reported to be present in the area. During the mission, Pakistani troops successfully neutralized three terrorists. However, in the ensuing exchange of fire, two security personnel sacrificed their lives.

Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal, 31, from Khushab, was leading the operation from the front. Fighting valiantly, he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Sepoy Nazam Hussain, 22, from Jhelum district, also embraced martyrdom during the operation.
“The sacrifices of these brave sons of the soil further solidify our resolve to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan,” said the ISPR.
Currently, a sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any residual threats.
