Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned terrorism in all forms, stating that violence in the name of religion or ethnicity has no connection with public welfare or national progress.
Speaking at a large public gathering in Killa Saifullah, the chief minister said that the people of Balochistan stand united against terrorism and will never surrender to extremist elements. “Whether it’s in the name of religion or nationalism, those who take up arms are working on an anti-state agenda,” he remarked.
Condemning the recent suicide attack on a political gathering in Quetta, Mr. Sarfraz Bugti said such acts will not deter the resolve of the people. “Balochistan is united in its fight against terrorism,” he said.
Those who kill innocent passengers and civilians are committing unforgivable crimes, the chief minister added, while urging the public to stand firm against elements seeking to destabilize the province.
Sarfraz Bugti stressed that peaceful protest is a constitutional right, but disrupting public life by blocking roads and causing inconvenience to citizens is against the law and democratic norms.
In a significant policy announcement, Mr. Sarfraz Bugti reiterated that Balochistan’s mineral resources belong first and foremost to the local population. “We will not allow anyone to plunder the rights of our people,” he said. “Attempts to seize control of the province’s resources will be resisted, and I will continue to stand as a guardian of public interest.”
Among key development initiatives, the chief minister announced the construction of the Kan Mehtarzai Dam to prevent water wastage and improve irrigation in the region. He also revealed plans to grant district status to Muslim Bagh, a move welcomed by locals.
Mr. Sarfraz Bugti emphasized the importance of tribal unity and cultural respect in the region, stating, “The bond of tribal respect and brotherhood is unbreakable—no force can weaken it.”
During his address, the chief minister unveiled multiple development projects aimed at uplifting Killa Saifullah and surrounding areas, pledging continued investment in infrastructure and public services.
