BLA attacked vehicles and set up a roadblock at Buzi Top on the Coastal Highway, burning more than 12 gas tankers. They stopped vehicles by blocking the road and even set a police vehicle on fire.
SP Hafeez Ameer of the Coastal Highway Police said that the attackers set fire to a police vehicle belonging to the Coastal Highway Police. They also set fire to three LPG tankers. Additionally, they deflated the tires of three other tankers, leaving them inoperable.
The official revealed that the LPG tankers were en route from Karachi to Iran. These tankers typically transport LPG from Iran to Sindh and Punjab.
Dost Muhammad Baloch, a gas truck driver and father of four, recounted a harrowing ordeal that left him devastated. He described how he and his colleagues were stopped and manhandled by members of the Baloch Liberation Army while transporting a modest amount of cash and valuables.
In a shocking turn of events, the armed group took control of their vehicles and conducted a thorough search. They ultimately set the trucks ablaze, leaving Baloch and his fellow drivers helpless and without their livelihoods. Baloch leased the truck a few years ago on installments. Now, he faces an uncertain future, grappling with the loss of both his vehicle and the means to support his family.
Security forces quickly deployed to the area after receiving news of the incident. The terrorists fled the scene, and authorities have restored traffic on the highway after a brief disruption.
Earlier, in Balochistan’s Qalat district, a suicide attack targeted a security forces vehicle on the National Highway. This attack led to the death of one Frontier Corps (FC) soldier, while four others were injured. The Ministry of Interior, in a statement on X, reported that the explosion occurred near the Mughalzai area of Kalat.

According to Deputy Commissioner Bilal Shabbir, the initial investigation suggested the suicide bomber was a woman. A hospital treated the injured personnel after the incident occurred near Midway as a security convoy was passing. Punjab’s caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, directed authorities to ensure the best medical care for the injured.
Additionally, in Khuzdar district, a shooting incident resulted in the deaths of two Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leaders. Two other individuals sustained injuries during the incident.
