
Pakistani stunt driver Sultan Mohammad Golden has set a new world record for the fastest reverse car driving, completing a one-mile distance in just 57 seconds, drawing praise from national leadership and sports enthusiasts across the country.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti announced a Rs 50 million cash reward for Sultan Golden, saying the achievement has brought international recognition to Balochistan and Pakistan. Congratulating him on the historic feat, the chief minister said the youth of Balochistan possess immense talent and only require opportunities to excel.
“The provincial government is committed to promoting sports and will ensure that talented youth are provided platforms to move forward,” Bugti said, adding that Balochistan’s talent is waiting to be discovered at the global level.
The previous world record for fastest reverse car driving was set by an American stuntman in 2022, which Sultan Golden has now surpassed with his remarkable performance.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated Sultan Golden and the nation on the achievement. In a statement, the prime minister said Sultan Golden has made the entire country proud by raising Pakistan’s flag on the world stage.
“The whole nation takes pride in Sultan Golden’s achievement. The government remains fully committed to providing facilities and support across all sports disciplines,” the prime minister said.
Following the record-breaking stunt, fans applauded Sultan Muhammad Golden’s performance. The event was attended by Balochistan Governor Jaffar Mandokhail and Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, who both praised the stuntman’s skill and determination.
