The stunt that made Sultan Golden a global reverse driving record holder.”

Pakistani stuntman Sultan Mohammad Golden has set a new world record for the fastest reverse car drive, covering one mile in just 57 seconds. This historic feat took place in Quetta, Balochistan, and was witnessed by Balochistan’s Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti along with senior civil and military officials.

Golden surpassed the previous record, set in 2022 by an American stuntman, who completed the same distance in 1 minute and 15 seconds, shaving 18 seconds off the earlier benchmark and cementing his place among the world’s top stunt drivers.

Earlier this year, Sultan, who hails from Pishin, Balochistan, also broke a world record for reverse driving at a speed of 140 km/h, reaching this speed in just 32 seconds and covering 1.5 kilometres at this pace.

A visibly jubilant Golden held the Pakistani flag and bowed his head in gratitude, dedicating the record to Pakistan. The previous record of 89 km/h in reverse driving was set by an American driver in 2022.

Sultan Golden rose to fame in the late 1980s for pioneering reverse motorcar jumping. In his illustrious career, he has set multiple world records, including a reverse jump of 150 feet over 15 cars and a record in 1987 for jumping over 22 cars covering 249 feet, surpassing the previous record of 246 feet held by a U.S. stunt performer.

Golden’s achievements continue to put Pakistan on the global stunt driving map, inspiring a new generation of daredevils and Motorsport enthusiasts.
