Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to decisively defeat terrorism, ensuring that no force dares to threaten Pakistan again.
During a meeting in Islamabad focused on the nation’s law and order situation, the Prime Minister reiterated his government’s resolve to fully eradicate terrorism. Highlighting Pakistan’s economic progress, he remarked that the country’s achievements are unsettling its adversaries.
Commending the combined efforts of security forces, institutions, and provincial governments, he praised the courage of officers and soldiers who are relentlessly confronting terrorists, often at great personal sacrifice. He assured that the federal government would work closely with provinces to strengthen their capabilities and ensure the complete eradication of terrorism and extremism.
The meeting emphasized the unified narrative against terrorism, which is yielding positive results. Stressing unity, Prime Minister Sharif called for setting aside differences and collectively focusing on eliminating this menace.
He ordered all institutions to intensify efforts against smuggling and crack down on human trafficking networks, bringing those responsible to justice. Additionally, the Prime Minister urged the rapid completion of Safe City projects in major urban centers to enhance security and public safety.
Updates from the meeting included the establishment of a National and Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Center under NACTA. A forensic science agency has been successfully launched in Islamabad, while improvements for the Punjab Forensic Science Agency are underway.
