
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti addressed a seminar organized by PPF and ITC in cooperation with the European Union. The Chief Minister stated that developing 43 percent of Pakistan’s territory with a development budget of 200 billion rupees is a challenging process, and the continuity of development in Balochistan is impossible without the support of global development partners and the federal government.
The first Climate and Women Economic Empowerment Endowment Fund has been established in Balochistan. Bad governance and corruption have created a distance between youth and the state. Chief Minister Bugti emphasized that while complaints and grievances against the government are justified, the state has committed no sin. Youth can be brought closer through merit, better governance, and dialogue. Multiple initiatives are being undertaken for youth development, including youth policy, employment, and business opportunities.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti announced that 16 billion rupees have been allocated for interest-free loan programs. After increasing resources through global investment, further investment will be made in youth development. The unusual population pressure on the provincial capital Quetta is creating problems. This growing pressure on Quetta can be reduced by providing facilities at divisional headquarters. The expensive land acquisition practices for road widening will no longer continue. Efforts are being made to provide better and quality life to the people of Balochistan.
We are working to establish good governance. 14 billion rupees were saved from last fiscal year’s non-development budget. Youth are the focus of our government’s attention, and we will restore confidence through better governance. The Chief Minister of Balochistan, along with provincial ministers, also inspected various business stalls started with small grants.
