Security forces foiled a major terrorist plot in Balochistan by recovering a large cache of explosives and weapons during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Panjgur, while a separate operation in Khuzdar resulted in the killing of two banned BLA’s terrorists, officials said.
The back-to-back intelligence-led operations are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks, prevent attacks on civilians, and disrupt militant infrastructure across the province.
During the operation in the Prom area of Panjgur district, security forces recovered a significant cache of modern weapons, ammunition and explosives believed to have been stockpiled for future terrorist attacks.
The recovered cache included five Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), six rocket launcher shells, three hand grenades, detonating cord, 1,000 rounds of Light Machine Gun (LMG) ammunition, 400 rounds of sniper rifle ammunition, and three Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) shells.
According to officials, the recovered weapons and explosives were intended to be used in attacks targeting innocent civilians and other acts of terrorism.
In a separate intelligence-based operation in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district, security forces eliminated two high-value FAH terrorists. Officials said modern weapons, explosives and other terrorist equipment were also recovered from their possession.
Security forces have launched clearance and search operations in the area to locate and neutralize any remaining terrorist elements.
Officials said the latest operations underscore the effectiveness of intelligence-driven counterterrorism efforts aimed at denying terrorist groups the ability to regroup, plan attacks or threaten local communities.
Security forces reaffirmed that operations against terrorist networks across Balochistan will continue until their complete elimination and the restoration of lasting peace and stability in the province.
