27 terrorists killed by security forces in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Kacchi district.
According to a ISPR, On 12 January 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Kacchi District of Balochistan, on reported presence of terrorists in the area.
During the conduct of operation, own troops stealthily surrounded & effectively engaged the terrosits’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, twenty seven terrorists were sent to hell.
Multiple hideouts, including caches of arms, ammunition and explosives, were also destroyed during the operation.
The killed terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians and were highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies.
Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.
This operation took place two days following an incident in which at least four individuals sustained injuries from an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Chaman. Additionally, armed assailants set fire to a Levies post in Mastung, and an assistant commissioner narrowly avoided a bomb attack in Khuzdar on Friday.
According to officials, a significant explosion occurred in the Station Road area of Chaman, a town adjacent to the Afghan border, during the afternoon as a Frontier Corps (FC) vehicle was traversing the area. Police reported that the improvised explosive device had been concealed on a motorcycle parked on Station Road, intended to target the FC truck transporting security personnel.
The FC truck was able to withstand the explosion, as the detonation occurred after the vehicle had already moved past the location where the motorcycle laden with explosives was stationed. Consequently, four individuals in the vicinity at that moment sustained injuries.
