Security forces have killed more than nine terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan’s Ziarat, Harnai and Surab districts as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, according to security sources.
The operations were conducted on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in multiple areas of the province. Security officials said the coordinated actions targeted terrorist hideouts and movement routes, resulting in significant losses to militant networks operating in the region.
According to security sources, a major operation was launched in the mountainous area between Ziarat and Harnai, where forces surrounded a terrorist hideout and engaged the militants. During the operation, eight terrorists were neutralised, while the hideout was completely destroyed.
In a separate intelligence-based operation in Hajika village of Surab district, security forces tracked terrorist movement after establishing an effective cordon between Dasht Kitai and Hajika. One terrorist was killed during the operation.
Security sources said security personnel recovered a cache of weapons and equipment from the slain terrorists, including ammunition, magazines, hand grenades, a walkie-talkie, a motorcycle and other operational gear.
The latest operations were carried out under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, a counterterrorism campaign aimed at eliminating terrorist networks and restoring lasting peace across Balochistan. Security officials reiterated their commitment to continuing intelligence-driven operations until terrorism is completely eradicated from the province.
Mohsin Naqvi Praises Security Forces
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the security forces for the successful operations and paid tribute to the personnel involved in the campaign.
“We are proud of the brave sons of the security forces who foiled the nefarious designs of terrorists,” Naqvi said, adding that the operations reflect the country’s determination to safeguard national security.
The interior minister also emphasized that operations against terrorist groups would continue with full force, stating that the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its security forces in the fight against terrorism.
Continued Counterterrorism Operations
The latest success comes amid a series of intelligence-based operations across Balochistan in recent weeks.
On Monday, security forces killed six terrorists in separate operations in Ziarat and Harnai districts. Earlier this month, 15 terrorists were eliminated during coordinated operations across Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki districts.
Security officials maintain that the ongoing operations have significantly disrupted terrorist networks, restricted their movement and enhanced the security environment across the province.
As Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3 continues, authorities say intelligence-based actions will remain focused on dismantling terrorist infrastructure and ensuring long-term stability in Balochistan.
