Pakistan’s security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations across Balochistan, killing four militants of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Kalat and eliminating a key commander of the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) in Awaran, according to sources.
According to Sources, the operation in the Parood mountain ranges of Kalat District was conducted on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants described by officials as Fitna Al Hindustan. During the exchange of fire, four BLA militants were neutralised. A clearance and search operation remains ongoing to ensure no residual elements remain in the area.
Sources noted that Kalat has seen repeated counterterrorism actions. On December 24, 2025, security forces killed eight militants in a similar intelligence-based operation in the district.
In a separate operation in the Awaran District, security forces killed Badal alias Dildaar, a senior BLF commander. Security sources said he was traced on January 11 during his movement and was targeted on January 12 when he reached a specific location, where he was killed during a gunfight.
According to officials, Badal had been affiliated with the BLF since 2013 and was part of the group. He was promoted to third-tier commander in 2020 and was allegedly involved in multiple militant attacks, including incidents that resulted in the martyrdom of three security personnel and injuries to 26 others.
Security officials said the latest operations reflect sustained efforts to dismantle militant networks, neutralise leadership structures, and improve the security situation in Balochistan. Intelligence-led actions will continue in sensitive areas, they added.
