Security forces have killed seven terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) targeting a BLA hideout in Khuzdar, Balochistan, security sources said.
The operation was conducted under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts aimed at dismantling militant networks operating across the province.
Security forces used an quadcopter to target the terrorists hideout after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists at the location. The precision strike destroyed the hideout and resulted in the killing of seven terrorists.
The latest operation comes amid intensified counterterrorism activity in Khuzdar and other districts of Balochistan. Security forces have carried out a series of intelligence-based operations in the province in recent weeks against what authorities describe as Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists networks.
On August 27, four terrorists were killed in the Sasool area of Khuzdar in an operation.
Earlier in August, security forces reported killing 10 terrorists in the Shor Parod mountainous area of Khuzdar during another intelligence-based operation. The operation involved engagements with multiple terrorists hideouts and was followed by search and clearance activity.
Khuzdar’s challenging terrain has made intelligence, surveillance and precision targeting increasingly important for security forces seeking to disrupt terrorists movement and hideouts.
Recent operations in Khuzdar demonstrate this broader trend. Security sources previously reported that quadcopters were used to effectively target terrorists in Sasool, while subsequent clearance operations were conducted to address remaining threats.
Security forces have maintained that intelligence-based operations will continue against terrorists networks operating in Balochistan.
The latest action in Khuzdar therefore represents another attempt to disrupt the infrastructure used by terrorists groups and prevent them from establishing safe locations for planning and conducting attacks.
