Security forces eliminated seven Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists during a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Lijjay area of Kharan district under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-III, security sources said on Saturday.
According to security officials, the operation was launched on credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. During the engagement, seven terrorists were killed while several others sustained injuries.
Security sources stated that the slain terrorists were involved in a range of criminal and terrorist activities, including extortion, kidnapping for ransom, looting, targeted killings, and the planning of suicide attacks.
During the operation, security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition from terrorist hideouts, including modern firearms, a large quantity of explosives, two vehicles, and a motorcycle. The terrorist infrastructure and hideouts were also completely destroyed.
On Saturday, security forces also killed 10 terrorists and injured many others in an IBO in the Shor Pard area of Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.
At least 18 terrorists were killed in Balochistan’s Surab district, including eight in a premature detonation, the miliatry’s media affairs wing said on Wednesday
The latest operation forms part of the ongoing Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-III, which aims to dismantle terrorist networks and eliminate militant safe havens across Balochistan.
Recent Counter-Terrorism Operations
The Kharan operation follows a series of successful intelligence-based operations carried out by security forces across Balochistan in recent weeks.
On August 10, security forces killed five Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists, including a key commander identified as Wazir, son of Jamal, during an operation in the Sarkini and Chedgi areas of Panjgur district. Security personnel recovered four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons, and a large cache of ammunition during the raid.
A day earlier on 9 August, security forces eliminated 15 India-backed Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in multiple intelligence-based operations conducted across Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai, and Nushki districts.
Meanwhile, on August 8, security forces killed three Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists and detained 12 suspects during search and sanitisation operations in the Kambela and Asimabad areas of Mastung district.
Earlier, during the night of July 30-31, security forces raided a terrorist hideout in Nushki district, killing seven terrorists, including a suicide bomber, while destroying ammunition stockpiles and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-III Continues
Security sources reaffirmed that operations against terrorist organisations will continue across Balochistan. Officials stated that security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorist threats, disrupting militant networks, and ensuring lasting peace and stability in the province.
