Sarfaraz Ahmed, former Pakistan captain and current Team Director of Quetta Gladiators, aims to create a supportive and encouraging environment within the squad as they gear up for the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Speaking with private news channel, Sarfaraz reflected on his long history with the franchise and how his responsibilities have shifted in his new role.
“I’ve been part of the Quetta Gladiators’ journey for many years, first as a player and a captain. Now, stepping into the role of Team Director presents an exciting new challenge,” Sarfaraz said.

He added, “My priority is to create a comfortable and positive atmosphere for the players, enabling them to perform at their best and enjoy the game.”
Sarfaraz also clarified the team’s structure, emphasizing that head coach Moin Khan will continue managing coaching duties. “Moin Khan remains responsible for coaching. My focus as Director will be on the team’s overall performance, players’ mental well-being, and maintaining a healthy dressing room culture,” he explained.
The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League officially kicks off on Friday, April 11. To start the season, defending champions Islamabad United will face off against Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
This year’s tournament features six teams competing in 34 matches from April 11 to May 18. Key highlights include:
- Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 matches, including both Eliminators and the grand final. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches, featuring the first Qualifier on May 13. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will host five matches each
- Three double-header matches are scheduled, with two taking place on Saturdays and one on May 1 (Labor Day).
With Sarfaraz’s leadership and renewed energy in their camp, the Quetta Gladiators are gearing up to make their mark in this highly anticipated PSL season.
