A detailed document has revealed the salary differences between the police forces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) from the rank of SP to IG. The IG of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has written a letter to the Chief Minister, requesting an increase in police salaries. In the letter, the IG pointed out that KP police have made immense sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, but their salary package is lower compared to other provinces.
The document shows that the salary of the IG in Balochistan is 369,498 rupees higher than that of the IG in KP. The salary difference between the SPs of Balochistan and KP is 221,196 rupees. It also highlights that the salaries of SSPs and AIGs in Balochistan are 281,177 rupees higher than those in KP.
The document further reveals that the salary difference between the DIGs in Balochistan and KP is 306,474 rupees, and between the Additional IGs, it is 322,309 rupees.
In terms of constables, a constable in Balochistan earns 69,885 rupees, while a constable in KP earns 69,127 rupees. The salary difference between ASIs in Balochistan and KP is 345 rupees. Additionally, there is a 1,606-rupee difference in the salaries of Sub-Inspectors in Balochistan and KP, a 363-rupee difference for Inspectors, and a 14,540-rupee difference for DSPs and ASPs.
The document further mentions that the salaries of police personnel and officers in Punjab and Sindh are also higher than those in KP.
