The repatriation of Afghan refugees through the Chaman and Baramcha border points has gained momentum as authorities ensure the process remains smooth and dignified.
During a high-level meeting on Thursday, chaired by Balochistan Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, it was emphasized that mistreatment during the repatriation process would not be tolerated. The chief secretary underscored the importance of conducting the return of undocumented immigrants and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders in adherence to international laws.

To further facilitate the effort, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan announced plans to request extended operational hours and double shifts from Nadra to accelerate the process.
Additional Chief Secretary for Home Zahid Saleem briefed attendees on the province’s preparations and restated that the deportation policies being executed mirror international standards. He noted the involvement of the federal government, the Prime Minister’s Office, and intelligence agencies in closely monitoring the campaign nationwide.
Deputy commissioners and local officials have been directed to map immigrants within their regions more effectively and submit detailed daily reports. Nadra is conducting identity verifications of foreign nationals before they relocate through the designated border points at Chaman and Baramcha.
