Two back-to-back blasts struck Qambrani Road in Quetta
“Motorcycle-borne explosive used in second blast on Qambrani Road.”

Two consecutive explosions shook Quetta’s Qambrani Road on Friday, but fortunately no loss of life was reported, according to police.

Two back-to-back blasts occurred near the Angoori Bagh police checkpoint on Qambrani Road, creating panic in the area. Police officials confirmed that the first explosion was caused by an IED planted along the roadside, targeting a routine patrolling vehicle of the security forces. The personnel on board remained safe, though the vehicle sustained minor damage.

As bomb disposal and crime scene teams arrived to inspect the site, a second explosion detonated near the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and Crime Scene Investigation Unit, using an explosive-laden motorcycle. Authorities say the second blast appeared aimed at responders examining the initial incident.

Despite the nature of both attacks, no casualties were reported.

Following the explosions, police, CTD, and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive search and clearance operation. BDS and CTD teams collected forensic evidence from the site, while investigations into the perpetrators and motives are currently underway.

According to initial findings, the devices appeared designed more to create noise and fear rather than cause real damage, an increasingly common tactic of weakened Fitna Al Hindustan in the area.

Security forces swiftly cordoned off the site, collected forensic evidence, and initiated an investigation into the perpetrators.
