Quetta Police have traced a gang involved in stealing and snatching vehicles from Karachi and transporting them to Quetta.

Quetta Police have traced a gang involved in stealing and snatching vehicles from Karachi and transporting them to Quetta, officials said.

DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat, speaking at a press conference with SSP Imran Qureshi of the Serious Crime Investigation Wing, stated that Balochistan has been grappling with terrorism for years, and there is a close link between organized crime and terrorist activities.

He explained that complaints regarding stolen vehicles from Karachi were closely monitored for three weeks, resulting in the recovery of multiple vehicles. Legal action has also been initiated against both the owners and buyers of the recovered vehicles.

Highlighting police performance in November, DIG Shaukat said that five complex murder and robbery cases were solved, leading to the arrest of six suspects. Authorities also recovered cash and gold worth millions of rupees from the arrested individuals.

He emphasized that organized crime often serves as a financial lifeline for terrorism, and police operations against such networks are ongoing.

Regarding the Digari incident, the DIG said that the main suspect, Jalal Satakzai, is currently underground and has fled the province. Police are coordinating with other provinces to secure his arrest, and efforts are ongoing.
