Security forces in Balochsitan successfully thwarted an attempt by terrorists belonging to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), described by officials as Fitna al-Hindustan, to sabotage a strategic bridge at Kardagap in Balochistan, a vital link connecting Quetta and Nushki.
According to security sources, the terrorists targeted the bridge in an effort to disrupt transportation and sever a key route used by commuters, commercial transport and supply vehicles. However, Security forces responded swiftly, preventing the terrorists from achieving their objective and forcing them to flee the area.
Although a small section of the bridge sustained damage, FC personnel immediately launched restoration efforts with the support of the local population. The damaged portion was repaired on an emergency basis and the route was reopened for traffic within a short period, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity between Quetta and Nushki.
Locals Praise FC’s Rapid Response
Residents of the area appreciated the prompt action taken by FC Balochistan, saying the force’s timely intervention prevented the complete destruction of the bridge and avoided major disruption to transportation and trade.
Local community members said the rapid restoration of the route demonstrated FC’s commitment to safeguarding critical infrastructure and ensuring the smooth movement of people and goods across the province.
FC Nushki Militia Kills Five Terrorists on Quetta-Taftan Highway
The latest incident comes days after FC Nushki Militia foiled an attempt by terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan to establish an illegal blockade on the strategic Quetta-Taftan Highway in Noshki district on June 17.
According to officials, the militants sought to stop passenger vehicles and commercial transport, intimidate travelers and carry out looting and extortion activities.
Upon receiving reports of the blockade, FC Nushki Militia launched a swift response operation and engaged the terrorists in an intense exchange of fire. The operation resulted in the killing of five terrorists, while the highway was secured and reopened for normal traffic.
FC South Recovers Large Cache of Arms in Mand
In another successful operation last week, FC Balochistan (South) carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Gawak area of Mand district.
During the operation, FC troops recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition, dealing a significant blow to terrorist and criminal elements operating in the area. Security officials said the recovered weapons were intended for use in unlawful activities and attacks against security forces and civilians.
FC Balochistan continues to conduct intelligence-based operations and security patrols across the province to protect critical infrastructure, secure transportation routes and maintain peace and stability in the region.
