At least six people were killed and 14 others injured during tribal clashes between the Badwan and Orakzai tribes in Qila Abdullah, Balochistan, authorities confirmed on Monday.

According to Deputy Commissioner Qila Abdullah, both factions reportedly used heavy weapons, heightening tensions in the area. To control the situation, Frontier Corps (FC) forces and Levies surrounded the affected site and worked to halt further violence.

A jirga, consisting of tribal elders, succeeded in brokering peace between the two sides. Following the negotiation, the deputy commissioner and elders cleared Tot Adda of armed individuals. The district administration confirmed that both security forces and local peace committees would closely monitor the region to prevent further escalation.

This incident has once again underlined the need for effective conflict resolution mechanisms and the dangers posed by unchecked tribal disputes.
