Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced the launch of the Pink Scooty and Electric Bikes scheme, designed to provide modern and affordable travel solutions for students, youth, and working women across the province. This program aims to empower women and young people by addressing their daily commuting challenges through subsidized scooters and bikes.
Under the initiative, female students of universities, colleges, and schools, as well as working women, will receive pink scooters to promote independence and self-reliance. Male students will be eligible for electric bikes. The government plans to finalize a comprehensive policy to ensure an efficient and transparent process for distributing these vehicles. A special committee, led by the Secretary of Finance, will oversee the criteria for awarding them.

Chief Minister Bugti highlighted that the project would not be limited to students and working women; the general public will also have access to these facilities through affordable bank financing. Collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan will form part of the financial model, ensuring the sustainability and accessibility of the program.
“The goal of this scheme is to provide easier mobility and promote independence for women and young people,” said Chief Minister Bugti. He reiterated the government’s resolve to deliver development opportunities across all aspects of life for the women of Balochistan while extending the program’s benefits to a broader audience under easy financing terms.
