PIA announces expansion of Gwadar operations

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has restored two additional flights to Gwadar, enhancing the port city’s connectivity. Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry announced that the new Karachi-Gwadar flights will begin in the first week of August, marking a significant step forward in supporting commercial activity in the region.

This development aligns with the Prime Minister’s business-friendly vision, aiming to boost investment, trade, and economic stability in the Gwadar Free Zones. Chaudhry emphasized that strengthening air links is crucial not only for the business community, port staff, and logistics sector but also for the successful execution of China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

Describing this initiative as a “new chapter” in Gwadar’s development, he highlighted its potential to drive sustainable economic growth in the region.
