Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has completed preparations ahead of the expected monsoon rains in Balochistan. On the directives of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, all necessary arrangements have been finalized before the onset of the rainy season, according to PDMA Director Faisal Tariq.
To tackle any potential emergencies, PDMA staff leaves have been canceled, and heavy machinery has already been deployed to the relevant districts. Faisal Tariq stated that construction work for divisional headquarters in six divisions of the province is complete, and relief supplies will soon be delivered to these centers.
The divisional headquarters have been set up to ensure efficient rescue and relief operations. These centers will enable immediate response and delivery of relief supplies to affected areas without delays. “The establishment of divisional headquarters will enhance rescue and relief operations during any emergency situation,” added Faisal Tariq.
The PDMA control room will remain operational 24/7 to handle any unforeseen circumstances, ensuring swift action during emergencies.
