The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a report regarding the loss of life and property due to recent rainfall and floods in Balochistan. According to the report, 22 people have lost their lives, and 11 others have been injured due to various accidents caused by the rains and floods. The deaths occurred due to flash floods, roof collapses, and lightning strikes.

The PDMA report highlights the following incidents:

  • Musa Khel and Kohlu: Two children died from electric shock.

  • Ziarat: Three women drowned in a dam.

  • Lasbela and Loralai: Two people died due to wall collapses.

  • Zhob: Four people drowned when a vehicle was swept away by the floodwaters.

  • Khuzdar: Six people died due to wall collapses and being swept away by floods.

  • Hernai: Two children died when their roof collapsed.

  • Duki: Four girls drowned as they were swept away by the floodwaters.

The report further mentions that 357 solar panels were destroyed, and four government buildings were affected. In total, 83 homes were damaged, with 69 homes partially damaged and 14 homes completely destroyed.
