Pakistan Navy and ANF Intercept $38M Worth of Drugs off Pasni Coast

The Pakistan Navy and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) have successfully intercepted 1,250 kilograms of illicit drugs valued at $38 million near Balochistan’s Pasni coast.

According to the navy’s media wing, the seized consignment, intended for smuggling via the Arabian Sea to international destinations, included 1,100kg of hashish, 50kg of crystal meth, and 100kg of heroin. The confiscated drugs have been handed over to the ANF for further legal action.

This operation reflects the collaborative efforts of the Pakistan Navy and the ANF in conducting intelligence-based missions to combat unlawful activities along the coast. A press release from the navy emphasized that the success showcases their commitment to fighting illegal narcotics trade and ensuring lawful order at sea.

The Pakistan Navy reiterated its dedication to safeguarding maritime security and maintaining stability in the region.

Notably, similar operations have been carried out in the past, including the seizure of narcotics worth Rs3 billion during a joint counter-narcotics operation in February 2023 and another large-scale interception in the North Arabian Sea last year.
