Qasim confession video in Panjgur Nazia TTP case during security operation interrogation
Arrested suspect Qasim admits family’s links with TTP in the Panjgur Nazia case, rejecting social media claims.

New details have emerged in the Panjgur Nazia TTP case, as a video statement of the arrested suspect Qasim surfaced, revealing alleged links between his family and the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to security officials, law-enforcement agencies conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Isai area of Panjgur after receiving credible reports of terrorist presence.

During the operation, Qasim reportedly took refuge inside a room of the house where Nazia and Farida lived. The suspect allegedly attempted to use Nazia as a human shield during the clearance process. Security forces arrested Qasim on the spot.

When forces entered the house , a grenade was thrown towards security forces entering the premises, injuring Nazia, who later did not survive .

Confession of Terror Links

In a video statement recorded during interrogation, Qasim confessed that:

  • He, his sister Farida, niece Nazia, and Nazia’s brother Ahmed Ali had links with TTP

  • Ahmed Ali had been living in the mountains alongside TTP militants

  • Farida allegedly facilitated TTP by providing support for cross-border movement between Pakistan and Iran

  • Qasim, along with associates named Ali Ahmed, Maqsood, Niaz, Dawood, and Ikram, served as TTP facilitators

  • He accepted responsibility for assisting the attack on an FC check-post at Chahdah Chowk

Social Media Claims Rejected

Some social media accounts, particularly those aligned with banned outfits, claimed that Nazia was assaulted by armed personnel.

However, authorities have rejected these allegations, calling them a propaganda attempt to malign security forces and avoid accountability.

Authorities noted that militants in Balochistan have increasingly attempted to use women as shields. A similar case involved Adila Baloch, who was allegedly being prepared for a suicide attack but was rescued by security forces.
