A total of 183 Pakistani students have returned home through Taftan border after US-Israel attacks on Iran, as evacuation efforts continue.
The evacuation of Pakistani students from Iran is underway following the recent US-Israel attacks, with 183 students returning safely to Pakistan on March 1 and 2.
According to officials, the students crossed into Pakistan through the Taftan border and were transported safely to Quetta.
On March 2, a group of 62 students — including 42 males and 20 females — was shifted to Quetta. Later the same day, another 121 students arrived, comprising 41 male and 80 female students.
Officials confirmed that among the returning students, 132 belong to Punjab, 22 to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15 to Sindh, 10 to Gilgit-Baltistan, three to Azad Kashmir, and one from Balochistan.
The students were enrolled in medical institutions in Iran, including Tehran Medical College, Isfahan Medical College, Zanjan Medical College, and Yazd Medical College.
Authorities said evacuation efforts remain ongoing to ensure the safe return of remaining Pakistani nationals amid the evolving regional security situation.
