SBP Governor Jameel Ahmad emphasized that empowering women is essential for national resilience and long-term economic stability.

Under the policy’s second phase, SBP is expanding mobile banking and fintech-based solutions to reach unbanked women in rural and underserved communities. More than 37 million women now hold active bank accounts — a record milestone for Pakistan.
Additionally, 22 commercial banks have adopted the WE-Finance Code, establishing industry-wide benchmarks for gender equality in customer engagement, lending practices, and workplace inclusion.

Partnerships between the Society for the Protection of the Rights of the Child (SPARC) and the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) have empowered over 46,000 women through technical and livelihood training.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) recognized ten corporations for leadership in workplace diversity. Meanwhile, the OICCI Women Empowerment Awards and UNDP’s Gender Seal Certification celebrate private-sector champions advancing gender inclusion and equity.
Even in creative sectors, AI-powered fashion exhibitions are providing platforms for women artisans and designers to display their talent and innovation globally.
