Pakistan has strongly rejected allegations by the Afghan Taliban that its recent airstrikes targeted a rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, calling the claims “baseless and false.”
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan exclusively targeted terrorists safe havens being used to plan and facilitate attacks inside the country.
According to the minister, the strikes carried out on the night of March 16, 2026, in Kabul and Nangarhar were “highly precise, deliberate, and professionally executed.”
He stated that the targeted sites included:

Terrorist infrastructure and operational hubs

Ammunition storage facilities

Technical support installations
Tarar emphasized that no hospitals, civilian buildings, or rehabilitation centers were damaged during the operation.
To ensure transparency, the Government of Pakistan has released video footage of all six strikes to the media. He added that the intense fires and secondary explosions observed after the Kabul strike confirmed the presence of large quantitive of explosives — something not typically found in civilian facilities.
Expressing concern, the minister said terrorism emanating from Afghan territory has become increasingly brutal, alleging that even children are being exploited for suicide attacks.
He reiterated that Pakistan will continue to take all necessary measures to eliminate cross-border safe havens in order to defend its citizens.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s armed forces confirmed that the operation — named “Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq” — targeted Afghan Taliban military installations in Kabul and Nangarhar.
According to security sources, two sites in Kabul were successfully destroyed, including ammunition depots and technical infrastructure. The resulting explosions and flames indicated the presence of military-grade explosives, reinforcing Pakistan’s position that the targets were not civilian facilities.
The Ministry of Information also dismissed statements by Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, saying they were intended to mislead global and domestic audiences.
Pakistan has also rejected claims of civilian casualties, stating that the operation was carried out with maximum precision to avoid collateral damage.
The government reiterated that Pakistan will continue to take necessary measures to eliminate cross-border terrorist safe havens to protect its citizens.
