Pakistan Coast Guards seize drugs in Balochistan anti-smuggling operation

The Pakistan Coast Guards have seized a massive quantity of narcotics worth approximately $136.5 million during a series of successful operations across various parts of Balochistan over the past month.

According to a spokesperson, the raids were conducted based on intelligence-driven information and targeted key smuggling routes in the province.

During these operations, the Coast Guards recovered 140.65 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1,729.5 kilograms of hashish, 25.6 kilograms of cannabis, and 1.5 kilograms of opium. All confiscated drugs have been handed over to relevant authorities for legal proceedings.

The spokesperson added that the seized drugs’ value in the international market is estimated at $136.528 million, marking a major success in Pakistan’s ongoing anti-narcotics efforts.

“The Pakistan Coast Guards remain fully committed to combating smuggling of narcotics and other illegal goods,” the statement said, “and will continue to play its part in protecting national interests and strengthening the country’s economy.”
