Pakistani troops repelled coordinated Afghan Taliban attacks in Spin Boldak and Kurram sectors, destroying posts and tanks.

In the early hours of October 15, 2025, Afghan Taliban militants launched coordinated attacks at four locations in the Spin Boldak area of Balochistan, which were effectively repulsed by Pakistani security forces.

According to official sources, the assault was carried out through divided villages near the Pak-Afghan border, showing complete disregard for the local civilian population. The Afghan Taliban also destroyed the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate on their side, a move that reflects their hostile attitude towards cross-border trade and tribal easement rights.

During the confrontation, 15–20 Taliban fighters were killed and several others injured. Reports suggest a further militant build-up at staging points used by Fitna Al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban along the border, indicating the possibility of escalating tensions.

The Spin Boldak incident was not isolated. On the night of October 14–15, Afghan Taliban militants and Fitna Al-Khawarij elements also attempted to attack Pakistani border posts in the Kurram Sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistani troops responded decisively, inflicting heavy losses on the attackers.

In the retaliatory yet proportionate response, eight enemy posts and six tanks were destroyed, while 25–30 Taliban and allied fighters were reported killed.

Pakistani officials have rejected as false and outrageous the Taliban regime’s propaganda claims suggesting that Pakistan initiated the attack or lost posts and equipment. They emphasized that basic fact-checks are enough to debunk the fabricated narratives.

“The Pakistan Armed Forces remain resolute and fully prepared to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. All acts of aggression against Pakistan will be met with full force,” the statement concluded.
