The Pakistan Army destroys Afghan Taliban tank positions and multiple posts in a major retaliatory operation following unprovoked cross-border attacks from Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij militants in the Kurram Sector. The strikes also eliminated a key training camp, inflicting heavy losses on enemy forces.
Security sources confirmed that Pakistani forces carried out precise and professional strikes, inflicting heavy losses on enemy personnel and equipment.
According to military officials:
-
Six Taliban tank positions and several fortified posts were destroyed.
-
A Fitna al-Khawarij training camp near Polsain Post was completely demolished.
-
The Shamshad Post and Nargsar Post were struck, eliminating tanks and their crews.
-
At Turkmanzai Top, the sixth tank position was destroyed, with visuals showing intense flames and smoke.
Reports indicate that senior commanders of Fitna al-Khawarij were also among those killed. The operation followed Taliban’s two-hour-long aggression, which was met with a proportionate and decisive response by Pakistan.
Local civilians near the Shorko border region were safely relocated as fighting intensified. Military officials reaffirmed that Pakistan’s operations remain defensive in nature, but any further provocation will be countered with full force.
