Security forces killed three more terrorists during the ongoing Operation Shaban in Balochistan’s rugged mountainous region, as the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and Police continued coordinated operations against terrorist hideouts on Wednesday.
According to security officials, the latest successful operation increased the number of terrorists killed under Operation Shaban to 88, while the overall number of terrorists eliminated in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Balochistan since July 5 has reached 126.
Security sources said the joint operation, involving the Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan, and Police, remains underway in the difficult mountainous terrain of the Shaban area.
Officials said security forces are conducting coordinated air and ground operations, targeting terrorist hideouts and movement with precision. The sustained offensive has inflicted heavy losses on terrorist groups operating in the region.
During the latest phase of the operation, security forces successfully struck multiple terrorist hideouts, killing three more terrorists.
With these latest eliminations, the number of terrorists neutralised in Operation Shaban has climbed to 88, reflecting the continued momentum of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign.
Security officials added that 126 terrorists have been killed across Balochistan since July 5 through Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations carried out by security forces.
According to security sources, Operation Shaban will continue until all terrorists are eliminated from the area and lasting peace is restored in Balochistan.
The operation was launched after the martyrdom of 27 police personnel in an attack by terrorists at a police post in the Mangi dam area. Nine police personnel were martyred on the spot, while 18 others were martyred by the terrorists after being kidnapped.
