Security forces have intensified counterterrorism operations under Operation Al-Azm across Balochistan, killing 13 terrorists in a series of intelligence-based operations, according to security sources. The latest operation in Mastung district targeted terrorist hideouts and resulted in the destruction of multiple terrorist facilities.
According to security sources, the most recent intelligence-based operation (IBO) was carried out in Khad Kucha, a remote area of Mastung district, where security forces engaged terrorists after receiving actionable intelligence.
The successful operation increased the total number of terrorists killed under Operation Al-Azm to 13, security sources said.
Terrorist Hideouts Destroyed
During the operation, security forces destroyed several terrorist hideouts used by terrorists for planning and coordinating attacks.
Security sources said large quantities of weapons, ammunition, explosives and improvised explosive device (IED) manufacturing material were recovered from the sites.
The operation also caused confirmed injuries to several other terrorists who managed to flee during the exchange of fire, according to security officials.
Follow-Up to Mastung Operation
The latest development follows Thursday’s intelligence-based operation in Khad Kucha, Mastung, during which security forces killed six terrorists and detained several suspects for further investigation.
Officials said the follow-up operations were launched based on intelligence gathered during the earlier raid, leading to additional successful strikes against terrorist networks operating in the area.
On Thursday, District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar and his security guard were killed after banned BLA armed men opened fire on their vehicle on the national highway in Balochistan’s Mastung. Additional Sessions Judge Tariq Lashari and another person were seriously injured in the attack.
The Baloch Yakjehtei committee and its online associates tried to shift the blame from BLA towards ISKP as the Judge was a local Pashtun and his martyrdom resulted in a widespread condemnation from the people. BYC and BLA’s affiliated social media accounts continue to create a narrative to shield the banned BLA.
Counterterrorism Operations Continue
Security sources reiterated that intelligence-based operations under Operation Al-Azm will continue across Balochistan until terrorist networks are dismantled and lasting peace is restored.
Authorities said security forces remain committed to targeting terrorist infrastructure, disrupting militant activities and preventing future attacks through sustained intelligence-led operations.
