Pakistani security forces have carried out a successful high-impact intelligence-based operation in the Pehrod area of Noshki district, targeting a major network of militants responsible for recent deadly attacks, including the Mastung bus massacre.
According to credible security sources, the operation involved both aerial and ground units, and resulted in the elimination of 10 to 15 terrorists affiliated with the “Fitna-e-Hindustan” group.
Terrorists were directly involved in the brutal execution of innocent civilians, who were taken off passenger buses and killed in cold blood. These terrorists were reportedly in the process of planning another blockades along the National Highway N-40, a vital route for inter-provincial travel and trade, when they were intercepted.
Sources confirm that the group was also linked to a past attack on the Levies Police Station in Kardagap, further underlining their operational footprint in the area.
During the operation, security forces targeted multiple hideouts, engaging in a heavy exchange of fire. As a result, 10 hardened terrorists were killed, and large caches of weapons, explosives, and ammunition — both locally manufactured and foreign-supplied — were seized.
Local residents expressed relief and gratitude, hailing the successful crackdown. “These terrorists had turned our roads into death traps. We thank the forces for bringing justice,” said a resident of Noshki.
The operation is part of a broader counterterrorism campaign to restore peace and stability in Balochistan, where foreign-sponsored insurgent groups have repeatedly targeted civilians and law enforcement.
