Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti underscored the importance of the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award as a vital opportunity to promote harmony between the federal government and provinces while ensuring equitable resource distribution.

During a key meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta to prepare for the NFC Award, Sarfraz Bugti presented his vision for broad-based consultations across political and expert lines. Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani provided a comprehensive briefing on Balochistan’s economic situation and financial needs, outlining key elements of the upcoming NFC Award.

The meeting concluded with a decision to incorporate feedback from all political parties and subject matter experts. Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the consultation process would extend beyond parliament, including input from parties without parliamentary representation, to ensure Balochistan presents a unified and well-rounded position.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of integrating recommendations from economic and sector-specific experts to effectively advocate for the province’s public interests. He reaffirmed his commitment to reflecting the aspirations of the people of Balochistan in the 11th NFC Award, targeting the province’s developmental challenges and fostering prosperity.

Sarfraz Bugti highlighted that equitable resource allocation and transparency are essential pillars for provincial development and national strength. The consultations aim to create a cohesive and robust strategy for Balochistan, safeguarding the province’s interests at every level.
