On Tuesday, a devastating explosion targeted the convoy of Balochistan Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ali Madad Jatak in Quetta, claiming one life and leaving ten others injured. The incident occurred on Sariab Road as MPA Jatak’s convoy was en route to a victory celebration. While Jatak remained unharmed, several others sustained injuries due to the blast.
Emergency response teams arrived swiftly, transporting the injured to Civil Hospital’s emergency ward. After receiving initial medical attention, the patients were moved to the Trauma Centre for specialized care. Hospital officials report that some of the injured remain in critical condition.
The explosion took place as MPA Jatak was heading to the Hockey Ground, where a large gathering was organized to celebrate Pakistan’s recent victory over India. The event had attracted a significant number of participants and supporters.

Following the attack, law enforcement agencies heightened security around the Hockey Ground, cordoned off the area, and promptly began an investigation to determine the explosion’s cause and identify those behind it.
