Member of the Balochistan Assembly Mir Ziaullah Langau has taken oath as a provincial minister, assuming charge of the Home Department.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Governor House in Quetta, where Jaffar Khan Mandokhail administered the oath. Following the ceremony, the Government of Balochistan issued a formal notification assigning Langau the portfolio of the Home Department.
The event was attended by Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, along with provincial ministers, members of the assembly, senior bureaucrats, and leaders of various political parties.
According to an official statement, the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) has formally notified the transfer of responsibilities to Langau. The decision has been taken in view of improving law and order in the province and ensuring more effective governance.
Langau has previously held several key government positions and is considered experienced in administrative affairs. Government sources say that in his new role, he is expected to focus on improving security, strengthening internal stability, and enhancing coordination with law enforcement agencies.
His appointment comes amid recent developments in PB-36 Kalat, where, on a petition filed by JUI-F candidate Mir Saeed Ahmed Langau, the victory of Ziaullah Langau (BAP) was suspended, and re-polling was ordered at specific polling stations.
According to the Election Commission’s results, Ziaullah Langau had secured 14,281 votes to win the seat, while Mir Saeed Ahmed Langau of JUI-F came second with 11,064 votes.
