Mir Ataur Rehman Mengal, son of former caretaker Chief Minister Mir Naseer Mengal, was killed during a clash with armed individuals in Khuzdar, Wadh, while his son, Mir Matiur Rehman Mengal, sustained injuries.
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, calling the attack a cowardly and condemnable act of terrorism. The Chief Minister also wished a swift recovery for the injured Mir Matiur Rehman Mengal.
In a strong statement, Mir Sarfraz Bugti assured that the government of Balochistan will carry out a full investigation into the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice. He reaffirmed the unity of the people and the government of Balochistan in their fight against terrorism.
