Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal announced on Friday the allocation of 333 additional medical and dental seats exclusively for students from Balochistan and the former Fata regions.
Speaking at a press conference at the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) headquarters, the minister emphasized the government’s dedication to providing equitable education opportunities, particularly for students in underprivileged and remote areas.

“These seats, recommended by the Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services and approved by the PMDC, mark a significant step towards national integration and equal access to education for all. This decision is part of the academic session 2024-25 and aims to reduce educational disparities,” said the minister.
He further stressed that this initiative is about more than just increasing seat numbers. “It’s about bridging regional gaps and cultivating a healthcare system that celebrates the diversity and strength of our nation,” he highlighted.
