The annual matriculation exams in Balochistan have begun on Monday (today), and more than 140,000 candidates will appear in the matriculation exam in the province.
Due to the law and order situation, the provincial home department has imposed Section 144 at 400 examination centers. CCTV cameras have also been installed to monitor the situation, an official of the Education Department told Balochistan Pulse.
A Balochistan BISE official announced that students across the province will begin their annual matriculation exams today, marking an important milestone. The exams, which play a crucial role in determining academic progression, will continue until March 3, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their hard work and preparation.

The authorities have announced the postponement of the matriculation exams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, citing unforeseen circumstances. The education board advises students and parents to stay updated on new dates and further instructions. The arts group will hold their scheduled exams on the first day of the session, covering all relevant subjects. Students are advised to arrive prepared and on time for a smooth examination process. The province has set up 400 exam centers and deployed 1,300 staff to oversee the process.
Examination centers strictly prohibit the use of mobile phones. A district representative will oversee and monitor the process at each center to ensure fairness and prevent cheating. Additionally, provincial secretaries and senior officials will conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and address any issues that arise.
